Threat model

Modern mobile interception no longer requires breaking encryption: it exploits key distribution. IMSI catchers, SS7 abuse, and harvest-now-decrypt-later programs all target the moment keys move. Vyron’s architecture removes that moment entirely.

Quantum key distribution

Session keys are established using quantum states protected by the no-cloning theorem. Any observation collapses the state, alerts both endpoints, and triggers automatic re-keying. Interception is prevented by physics, not detected after the fact.

Per-call key lifecycle

Each call generates an independent key from quantum-random entropy. Keys exist only in hardware-isolated TEE memory and are cryptographically destroyed at hang-up. Forward secrecy is structural: there is nothing to harvest.

Hybrid post-quantum envelope

Voice payload is protected with AES-256Q wrapped in NIST-selected post-quantum algorithms, defending against both classical and future quantum adversaries through 2050 and beyond.

Sovereign key custody

The full key lifecycle (generation, distribution, rotation, destruction) executes within Canadian jurisdiction on the Sovereign KMS. No foreign routing, no extraterritorial legal exposure, regardless of where the call happens.

Hardware root of trust

The removable Quantum TF card anchors identity and key storage in dedicated silicon with a Level-2 cryptographic chip. The verified boot chain signature-checks every byte of VyronOS from first instruction.

Boundaries & assumptions

No system protects against everything, and we say so. Vyron does not defend a compromised user or endpoint: malware installed with user privileges after unsealing, a camera pointed at your screen, coercion, or call-timing metadata visible to carriers. We state these limits precisely so the guarantees above mean something.
